Hey #BucaleanyFam, David Lawrence Brewster Jr., aka  Dave East, is an American rapper and actor from Harlem, New York. He gained major respect and attention in 2014 from his mixtape Black Rose which was fire.  East signed to the legendary rapper Nas' label Mass Appeal Records, and later in conjunction with Def Jam Records.

Dave East is a strong lyricist adept at telling gritty street narratives, this Harlem-based MC has a style heavily reminiscent of '90s New York hardcore rap. Dave East grew up with hoop dreams but life lead him from the hard top to hip-hop. “I definitely thought I was gonna go to the NBA. 

The Harlem rapper Dave East is playing Method Man in the upcoming Wu-Tang Clan series. The series will be called Wu-Tang: An American Saga, and it will have a 10 series run on Hulu.

Dave East also has a song coming out soon with Meg TheeSTallion directed by Teyana Taylor
